There are so many children around the world who are in need of a loving family to call their own. As one of the focuses of our organization, we seek to unite children and families through adoption. We are functioning as Adoption Concierges, providing information and assistance to persons considering adoption. Hosting picnics and other events several times a year keeps the adoptive families in our community in touch with each other. These events also provide a forum where prospective adoptive parents can meet other families who have traveled the road of adoption. We are working to raise adoption awareness in our community through the distribution of written materials and presentations to churches, businesses and service organizations. It is our desire that finances not stand in the way of bringing children and families together. We have established an Adoption Assistance Fund to help defray
the costs of adoption and provide information on other sources of financial assistance. To learn more about our adoption programs click the links below.
The Sacred Portion Children's Outreach received its child placing agency license from the MT Department of Health and Human Services in January, 2006. This license allows us to do home studies for families residing in the state of Montana who are planning to adopt a child, either domestically or internationally. The home study is a process that involves the gathering of information about the prospective parents as well as education and preparation for adoption. Once the home study is completed, the prospective family must select an international placing agency that is accredited in the country from which the family is planning to adopt. We can provide a list of U.S. agencies for specific countries.
Please note that we cannot assist families with processing an international adoption beyond the home study. We can, however, provide help and guidance to families in preparing their dossiers which is a compilation of documents required by the foreign country.
