Summer of Hope 2010 Calendar of Activities  Updated 7/14/10

The 7 children from Colombia arrived on June 30 and they were joined by the 5 children from the Philippines on July 12th. Check out our Calendar of Activities showing the various activities and events that will be taking place during the time that the children are here. We would like to encourage you to attend our weekly community picnic/potlucks at the various parks around town and in Belgrade. We would love for you to have a chance to meet the children for whom you have worked so hard to bring to our community!

This year many of our families are presently in the status of "advocate" host family.  What this means is they are not yet commited to the path of adoption for the child/children that they are hosting.  They are willing and prepared to entertain the idea of other families interested in meeting and spending supervised time with their host child/children.  If you are interested in adoption and have an interest in a particular child or sibling group please contact Jan Druckenmiller at 406-586-5773 for more details.

The Sacred Portion Children's Outreach sponsored the Montana Spring Break Work Team which traveled to the Rehoboth Children's Home of Sampaloc, Tanay, Rizal, Philippines March 12th - 21st, 2010.  The team was charged with repairing the typhoon damaged walls at the Children's Home.  They worked under the direction of Craig Druckenmiller and Eric Teoxin and the local Filipino workers.  You may check out our photos on Facebook from the main menu of this site.  The team of 11 worked hard on the wall repairs and played well with the children in their spare time.  They experienced life in another country far from home and came back changed forever.
